Can we have the price of a product?

Only an Amisco Representative can give you the price of an Amisco product. Please, contact us for a quote.

What is your furniture made of?

Amisco is proud to use high quality North American steel, fashioned in Canada and painted with lead-free paint. We use birch, walnut and ash from North American forests to produce our components and tabletops. Our seats are upholstered with high-density polyurethane foam to provide the perfect comfort and durability for many years of intensive use. The seats have a 3/4 po plywood structure meeting CARB formaldehyde emission limits. All our chairs and stools have extremely durable nylon glides, which are suitable for most floor coverings.

Are the Amisco products assembled?

At delivery, all Amisco products will be assembled except for the table bases that will be delivered separated from their tabletops.

Can Amisco products be used outdoors?

Amisco products are designed and made exclusively for an indoor use.

What is the maximum weight your Amisco products can support?

Chairs & Stools

Many chairs and stools exceed these loads.

Tables and pub tables

*Note: These weights only reflect the load that can be applied without breaking a table. These weights are not maximum weights for a tabletop not made by Amisco.

How should we choose the height of a stool?

If your counter is between 36” or 38” high, you need 26″ stools.
If your counter is between 40”et 42”, you need 30″ stools.

What is the recommended space for each stool?

We recommend allowing 22″ to 25″ of space for each stool. Be sure to reserve more space for swivel stools or stools with armrests.

Can we purchase an upholstered product with two different coverings?

Yes, it’s possible. Contact your Amisco Representative.

What are the characteristics of the 51 Harley metal finish?

The inherent characteristics of this finish allow the darkening of the construction welds and seams to show through, which makes each piece truly unique.

A) Color variations: Paint thickness variation is inherent to our paint application process. The differences in paint thickness cause color variations, which may vary from a light copper tint to a dark brown on the same product. These color changes provide to this finish a warm and unique look.

B) Visible welds: When welding, metal heats up and darkens. Dark spots may be visible around welds, as well as on the face of a sheet metal part opposite to a weld.

C) Weld seam along tubes: A continuous black line may appear along a tube. This is the area where the steel was welded to become a tube. The tube weld seam may appear on any given face of a tube or of a product.

D) Zinc components: Some products have zinc decorative components. Zinc parts are generally of a lighter color than the rest of the steel product.

What is the difference between the distressed and non-distressed solid wood finishes?

Natural characteristics that may appear on distressed and non-distressed solid wood components:

Manual characteristics that will appear on distressed solid wood components only:

How do we clean an Amisco product?

Painted Steel

Use a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Rinse and wipe dry. Do not use a scouring pad or an abrasive cleanser. This could scratch the paint finish.

Melamine and Laminate

Use a soft cloth and warm, mild soapy water, or all purpose cleaner. Rinse and wipe dry. For stubborn stains, use baking soda.

Wood and Veneer

Remove dust with a dry cloth. To clean, use a soft cloth, and water. Wipe dry.

Fabrics

Professionnal cleaning service is recommended. Vacuum or brush regularly to remove dust and grime. Some fabrics may require brushing with a non metallic, stiff bristle brush to restore appearance. After a spill, blot immediately the spilled liquid. Clean spot or stain from the outside to the middle of the area affected to prevent circling. To remove soil, clean the fabric with the foam from a mild water based detergent. Test on a small inconspicuous area before proceeding. Do not use household solvents, hot water extraction or steam cleaning. Blue-jean dye can transfer from jeans onto white or light-colored upholstery fabrics with contact, even after several washings of the jeans.

PVC and Polyurethane Upholstery Coverings

Use a soft cloth and mild soapy water, or all purpose cleaner. Do not use solvant. Some foods may stain white and light-colored PVC or polyurethane upholstery coverings. Clean any food spills immediately to prevent permanent stains. Blue-jean dye can transfer from jeans onto white and light-colored PVC or polyurethane with contact, even after several washings of the jeans. Clean blue jean dye marks with isopropyl rubbing alcohol.

Stainless Steel and Satin Chrome

Use a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Wipe in the grain direction to prevent marking or scratching of the surface. Rinse and wipe with a dry cloth to avoid water marks. To get rid of stains, use a stainless steel cleaner, and follow the product instructions. Wipe in the grain direction. Do not use a scouring pad or powder cleanser, as these products may damage the finish.
